Perth Stadium will host the Italian Football Festival next weekend and it will kick off in true old country style.
How you may ask? By inviting authentic nonnos from all over Italy & Balcatta to come and give the concrete outside Perth Stadium a ceremonial hosing.
Special hosing sessions will also be held before the AC Milan vs. Inter Milan, Juventus vs. Inter Milan, Juventus vs. Palermo FC and Little Italy Festival on Perth Stadium grounds.
We asked an honorary Nonno invited to spray some hose how he felt about the opportunity and he gestured at a garbage bag full of lemons asking us to take, adding,
“You take, good boy, good boy”
We understand young Italians in attendance will get a chance to hold the hose themselves in whats sure to be an enriching cultural experience.
Other activities include bog laps around Perth Stadium and arguing with local council over stupidafacken by-laws around unauthorised construction.
