Croatian superstar Luka Modrić has arrived in Perth ahead of the AC Milan friendlies and he wasted no time hitting up the spiritual homeland of Perth Croatians.
Sources close to the Italian superclub said Luka couldn’t stop talking about Spearwood on the flight over and vowed to acquire all his necessary items at the mighty Pheonix Shopping Centre.
A witness was lucky enough to see Luka at Phoenix and said he’d never seen a man so happy, adding,
“He said it was like being back in Zadar, and his competitive spirit came out over some discounted sour cream and jostled with some older Crotians for the prize”
Luka then enjoyed a day around Spearwood, getting a selfie at the Dobro Dosli greeting, playing some disc golf, lion statue spotting and a tour of the Croatian street names”
By all accounts, the star wanted to head to the Dalmatinac Club to source some Rakija and get into deep, slightly intense conversations about the Baltics.
Alas, he was required to go do some training which consisted of running up the stairs at Manning Park.
Day for it.
