New Planning Reforms to Make It Easier to Build a Granny-Data Centre in Your Backyard

Western Australia continues to lead the way in planning reform after announcing that red tape would be slashed on landowners seeking to build a granny-data centre on their property.

Previously, a landowner would need to jump through all sorts of hoops to get the approval but due to grade 5-FOMO of missing out on the AI bubble, those hoops have been removed.

We spoke to an industry inside who said it was smart policy, adding,

“We have to be prepared as a society for the next One Nation AI Slop advertising campaign which will push all our data centres to the absolute brink. We need policy like this to continue the river of ai-shit we see every day online”

Naturally, landowners are advised to get a bore installed before going ahead with the granny-data centre as they can be a little thirsty.

Not to worry though, even if you’re using water off scheme the land value will likely triple as everyone wants to live the Australian dream of living next to their very own data centre.

We spoke to one punter who had already built his own granny-data centre and he was stoked. Adding,

“My uncle spends all day talking to ai pornbots on Twitter so this issue is personal to me, I want to make the future a better place for thirsty men like him”

Happy days.
