The second tranche of WA’s tighter tow truck industry regulations have kicked in today and impose tighter conditions on rogue operators.
Among the new changes is a clause requiring operators to obey the laws of space & time before materialising at the scene of a crash.
We spoke to the WA Government who said the new “physics rule” was sorely needed,
“Where do they come from? One minute you’re in a bit of a bingle on the Freeway and the next you have 7 tow truck drivers in your face trying to strongarm you into taking an extortionate tow deal, it’s not physically possible to get there that fast, we MUST be a society that obeys the laws of space and time!”
We managed to speak to a two truck operator who said the new laws were disappointing especially after investing heavily in a space-time-continuum portal. He told The Times,
“Mate, you think this piece of kit is cheap? It allows me to materialise at any point both in the past, present and future, it’s a bit complicated but if you’ve ever seen Sliders you get the idea”
Pursuant to the new laws, anyone caught skirting the laws of physics will be given a $100 fine and their portal confiscated.
That’ll show em!
