The political move comes after the Cactus rallied considerable youth support this weekend. To some, it was a meme but to others it had all the hallmarks of a Nepal style Gen Z uprising.
We spoke to a key political analyst who said that while One Nation’s orange wave was surging, the green spike could be even more significant, adding,
“The youth vote is notoriously difficult. You are dealing with a strange generation of iPad kids who really reject contemporary political standards. The Cactus was able to cut through that and offer these kids something they’ve not had for a long time – hope”
