Perth has awoken to the glorious news that for once, our wastewater doesn’t have the highest concentration of ice in our city, our windscreens do.
It’s quite an achievement for Perth, who annually is shamed by our wastewater analysis. It was nice of Adelaide to take the crown one year but we’re sadly never far from the top.
Even Tourism WA weighed in adding,
“This is the kind of ice we want to be known for, how whimsical and pure”
Luckily with it dropping to 3 degrees, we could proudly ignore our wastewater results and focus on a different type of icy scourge to our city.
Given the temperatures, many were forced to do the defrost tango this morning despite admittedly not being proficient at the task. We spoke to one resident who said he’d wish he hadn’t listened to online advice, adding,
“Everyone kept saying pour boiling water on the windscreen! It made sense! Water hot, ice cold, you know? Well, I had to call out O’Briens, wonderful just perfect”
Happening far too often these days.
