Socceroos Sign Brendan Fraser for next World Cup Given Extensive Experience in Egyptian Shootouts

The Socceroos have wasted no time preparing to bounce back from this mornings tough loss against Egypt in the knockout stage of the World Cup.

Much to the heartbreak of a nation, the Socceroos were outclassed in the penalty shootout ultimately going down 4-2. Well, that won’t happen again given the talent they signed.

Brendan fkn Fraser – the man who saved the World against Egyptian forces engaging in more than his fair share of shootouts with the ancient nemesis.

We spoke to an insider close to the Socceroos who said they are just itching to meet Egypt again next World Cup. Adding,

“Brendan actually contacted us and he said he was putting in the work to get his Australian citizenship as we speak. He feels strongly about winning shootouts with Egyptians it seems”

Brendan himself played down the importance of his presence in the team but did say he’s done this chicken dance 3 times with a 4th movie on the way, so yeah, he can bring a little experience to the next World Cup push.

Of course, the question of whether he will be needed if Australia don’t face Egypt remains but Fraser has the answer for that too, telling The Times,

“I played a massive unit in a movie, perhaps you’ve seen it? A whale of a man, so I’m happy to pack on those pounds again and clog the goals for Australia”

What a man.
