In a shocking development, beloved tiger shark Trevor from Mullaloo has been hauled in for questioning over damage down to two subsea data cables off the Perth coast.
The cables are vital for international communication and the damage done to them has highlighted our vulnerability to potential sabotage.
The AFP is remaining tight lipped on why they suspect Trevor but the answer could be in the social media attention he gets over summer. With a source close to Trev telling The Times,
“Every time he goes for a cheeky cruise he’s making headline news, he’s a bit sick of it given he’s am ambush predator, he’d like you to stop giving his game away! Not to say he took out his frustration on data cables though…”
Lawyers for Trev said the endearing shark intends to clear his name. Noting a strong contingent of his fans gathered at Mullaloo chanting “free my boi”
Good luck Trev, you know they are keen to pin this on someone!
