Tyre punctures across the entire country have plummeted thanks to the rising cost of building material amid the Iran war.
In a rare win for the public, boxes of screws have just tipped over the “give a shit” amount cost threshold for tradies and they now have to take care of their supplies.
According to a report from a local tyre retailer, his sales are down roughly 500% due to tradies taking more care of their gear. Something he is furious about. Adding,
“Tradies are responsible for me being able to put a second storey on my house, ironic that they are now responsible for me not being able to afford my mortgage”
We spoke to a construction worker who said boxes of screws no longer grew on trees, adding,
“Look the message we are conveying to the public is that their builds are costing 100% more because building materials have also gone up 100% whether that figure is true or not is irrelevant, we just need to keep that belief going to justify our costs”
Therefore, it would be a pretty bad look to continue with screw & nail nonchalance around residential streets.
While this is great news for the public it’s terrible news for local apprentices who, you guessed it, have been tasked with the responsibility of picking up all the loose screws all over the road.
