In a joint undertaking between Westralia and the Federal Government, funds from both budgets will be allocated to building a high speed rail between The Baldives & Byford in Perth.
When asked why both Governments said they were “curious to see what would happen” and guarantee it’ll be a wild ride for all involved.
We spoke to a political insider who said the project would provide important learnings for both Government and society. Adding,
“You must’ve thought about it too, ay? These are two locations isolated from each other on account of horrendous roads. So they two populations have never met. We honestly just want to see what happens, could be good?”
Not everyone is convinced, however. With some experts saying it will either descend into some kind of high-speed battle royale, or they will combine their forces. Adding,
“The point is, we don’t know, and the question we should be asking is do we want to know? Or more accurately, do we want to fuck around and find out. I’m not sure we do”
Nevertheless, $50B has been allocated to the project and it should be finished some time in 2080.
