Coles begins asking customers if they’d like to round up & donate to their misleading conduct fine

In news that will surprise no one, Coles has been found guilty of misleading consumers over it’s Down Down campaign by the Federal Court.

The ACCC prosecuted Coles given its so-called specials were printed in pure, liquid bullshit and no matter how much positive coverage the media gave the trial, justice was served.

Of course, this leads to the small matter of the penalty. Most likely, Coles will receive a fine for their shenanigans and they’ve already got on the front foot in regards to THAT.

We spoke to a shopper who went to Coles today and was surprised at what she saw on the self service checkout. Adding,

“I went to pay and this little window popped up asking me if I’d like to donate to their fine. I was pretty outraged until I realise I was going to be paying this fine one way or another, so it was nice of them to at least ask”

Indeed you will. Experts say that there is not a donkey’s chance in hell that Coles will take a financial hit on the no doubt inadequate fine handed down.

An insider even leaked to The Times that Coles was preparing to “thank its customers in advance” for covering the fine.

Probably via $10 capsicums or some malarkey.
