Kane Cornes accuses West Coast of tanking after thumping Richmond

SEN’s top blowhard Kane Cornes has sensationally accused The West Coast Eagles of tanking after witnessing their dominate performance against Richmond at Perth Stadium.

Cornes alleges that the sort of effort, execution and fitness shown today was a clear sign the Eagles were tanking for priority picks.

A source close to Cornes told The Times,

“Kane sees things that other people don’t. Kane sees a team that is so uncertain of itself that it couldn’t handle priority picks. It can’t even back itself to use priority picks to build a new dynasty. It’s clear tanking in his eyes”

According to Cornes, West Coast should have played the kind of brand of footy that combine gut running and a healthy % loss to ensure they ended up at the bottom of the ladder.

Cornes was particularly critical of Waterman kicking a bag and Yeo & Kelly’s continued dominance in the midfield. A source close to Kane told The Times,

“Do you seriously think kicking six goals is the actions of a key forward not trying to tank? It’s pure and simple tanking. At least according to the weird world Kane lives in”

Furthermore, Cornes believes that Harley Reid should do a Jason Horne-Francis on the Eagles after today’s display. Adding that it clearly wasn’t the “winning environment” that Reid deserves. He then started rambling about ice baths or whatever.

Unsurprisingly, everyone else has disagreed with Cornes and have praised the Eagles for coming out hard against an admittedly injury-riddled Richmond outfit.

Some believe that Kane may have sustained a few too many knocks to the head when he got owned during the charity boxing at Gather Round.
