New battery-electric haul truck fully charged off bogan rage

Caterpillar’s new battery electric trucks being utilised by BHP and Rio Tinto are not, in fact, charged by diesel generators as the legion of Facebook commentators allege.

They actually tap into a near unlimited source of power to recharge: bogan rage. An energy source that is in abundant supply on every mine site.

The rage is so pure and bitter over EV being used that a single donga containing just 2 FIFO workers can fully charge a truck in just 30 minutes. With one bogan telling us,

“HOW MANY DIESEL GENERATORS ARE NEEDED NOT SO GREEN ARE THEY AHHHHHHHHH FUCK WHY DID YOU RUIN MY DAY TALKING ABOUT EV!!!’

We spoke to an industry insider who told The Times that this was the future,

“Perpetual energy is the dream and if you check social media when EVs are mentioned you will find plenty of rage, Caterpillar were just able to harness it into a charging port. Quite smart by them”

Naturally, the big question is whether this energy source is truly unlimited. Luckily, Sky News and 7 West Media are on the job to make sure the world stays disproportionately angry about an alternative energy source.

Who said they weren’t good for anything?
