Sam Mitchell goes home a winner with massive haul of 10c bottles & cans thanks to Hawks fans

Sammy Mitchell may have lost the chance for Grand Final glory this year but he has done pretty damn well thanks to the classless behaviour of Hawks fans.

To signify their disgust at a late umpiring call against Jarman Impey, the fans unleashed a house-deposit worth of cans & bottles onto the MCG.

Always the calculating mind, Sammy decided to turn his massive L for the night into an even bigger W for him personally. A witness told The Times,

“Sammy told his coaching staff to go and grab as many garbage bins as they could and he started collecting those cans with he kind of determination he showed in the 2014 Hawks Grand Final”

His hard work certainly paid off with conservative estimates having Sammy’s 10c recyclable can & bottle haul in the 10s of thousands of dollars.

Our source continued,

“Sam squirrelled those cans away like fkn Gollum man, straight down into the MCG car park, hip and shouldering officials trying to get between him and his boot, there was no way he was copping another loss for the night”

Well done Sammy.
