Virgin has won over the hearts & minds of Freo fans today after cancelling several flights from Melbourne to Perth that they’d paid stupid money for.
By way of compensation, the Airline offered the Freo fans vouchers for the nearby AFL Bar to go and watch the Grand Final replay.
By all accounts, the gesture went over swimmingly with absolutely no one wishing the Airline would immediately enter administration.
We spoke to a Freo fan who had sold a vital organ for the airfare, needless to say, he was stoked,
“I couldn’t think of anything in this world I’d rather watch more. Thanks Virgin. I even asked the bar if they could just have the last 4 minutes on loop. I definitely wouldn’t rather slam my dick in a door”
Another fan shared the gradtitude,
“Wow, Virgin really have their finger on the pulse, you wouldn’t get this kind of consideration from Jetstar. I’m going to handwrite a thankyou letter to them”
Have to hand it to Virgin for this one. They care.
